Loan Payment Options

Ways to Pay Your Loan at CommStar Credit Union

At CommStar Credit Union, we offer a variety of convenient loan payment options— so you can choose the one that works best for you.

Online & Mobile Payments

– Transfer from your CommStar account to your loan anytime
– Available in online banking or the CommStar mobile app
– Transfer can be one as a one-time transfer or scheduled as a recurring transfer

– Take a photo of a check to pay your loan using the mobile app
– Requires 30+ days of CommStar membership to enroll
– Deposits are typically available same day

– Make a one-time payment from an external account via ACH, or scheduling recurring payments
– The Loan Payment Portal is independent from online banking– registration in the Online Loan Payment Portal is not the same as It’sMe247 Online Banking or the CommStar Mobile App
– ACH-based (processing typically take 2–3 business days)
– $3 processing fee per payment

Automatic & Recurring Payments

– Automatically pulls from your CommStar checking or savings account on your due date
– You may qualify for a loan rate discount when you add Automatic Funds Transfer! Contact a Member Service Representative for details and to see if you qualify.
– Contact us at memberservice@commstar.org to request the AFT Agreement Form

– Have part of your paycheck sent directly to your loan
– Contact us to request a routing form to provide your employer to have a portion of your payroll applied to your loan by emailing us at memberservice@commstar.org 

Pay from Another Financial Institution or Outside Account

– Move money between your outside financial institution and CommStar in online banking or the mobile app
– A2A Transfers can be done as a single occurrence, or choose recurring automatic transfers
– There is no processing fee for this service
– ACH-based (processing typically take 2–3 business days)
– What you’ll need: It’sMe247 Online Banking, a voided check or bank statement from the other institution with your name and account number, and a completed A2A form
– Complete this form in-branch, or email us at memberservice@commstar.org to request the form via eSign

– Set up through your other financial institution, if offered
– Requires CommStar account number (with loan suffix) and routing number
– Processing time: 2–3 business days
– CommStar’s Routing Number is: 241278361

– Add CommStar as a payee in your external bank’s bill pay service.
– Your bank will mail us a paper check— be sure to allow time for delivery
– Please include your member number and loan suffix
– Bill Pay payments should be mailed to:

In-Person & ATM Payments

– Visit any branch location to make a loan payment in person during regular business hours
– Accepted form of payment are cash, personal check, certified check
– Cash Advance option available for payments made using a card (fees may apply)

– Deposit cash or checks at a CommStar ATM
– Transfer to your loan using online or mobile banking
– An ATM or Debit card is required to access your accounts at the ATM

– Visit a Video Teller location to deposit cash or check to make your loan payment
– Video Teller offers extended hours and features a live Member Service Representative with the convenience of an ATM setting
– Simply touch “Talk to Teller” on a Video Teller ATM to initiate a session during Video Teller Hours (M-F 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Sat 8:00am – 2:00pm)
– No ATM or Debit card is required

– Use CO-OP Shared Branches to make deposits or loan payments
– Great for members outside CommStar’s branch network

Other Payment Options

– Call (440) 365-7342 and select Option 2 to make a loan payment
– This service is available 24/7/365
– $10 processing fee per phone payment
